Saturday, November 3rd - The 3rd Annual Downhillbillies Dixie Cup Pumpcone Fest - Dual Lane Hybrid on Court Street in Historic Downtown Statesville.

The YMCA Pumpkin Fest 5K Run
The 2007 Pumpkin Fest will start off with a bang – as the annual fall YMCA Pumpkin Fest 5K Race gets things going early in Downtown Statesville on Saturday, November 3. The one-mile fun run and 5K road race will be begins and finishes at Mitchell Community College, starting at 8:30 a.m. with the one-mile fun run. Group Walkers are welcome and the cost is $10 per participant. Registration is from 7:30-8:15 a.m. at Mitchell Community College. The 5K race starts at 9 a.m. Registration is $20 per person. On the day of the race, registration is from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. at Mitchell Community College. For more information, contact Angela Lanier at 704-873-9622.
Pumpkin Chunkin Catapult Competition
The 2007 Bell & Howard Chevrolet-Cadillac Pumpkin Chunkin’ Catapult Competition will be held at the Bill Davidson Model Airplane Field off Signal Hill Drive in Statesville. The competition is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. Click here for more information and directions.
